The fit of your jacket indicates your preference for movement when wearing the jacket. Fitted means that it conforms closely to your body shape but doesn't mean you will be restricted in your movement. If you prefer a fuller cut then select a loose fit.
The most common jacket cut is single breasted with 3 buttons. A 2 button cut will be more casual, while a 4 button cut will be formal as well as making your silhouette look thin so it's not recommended for tall people. The 1 button jacket is normally used only for a tuxedo. Double breasted jackets have more options to choose from but they are less commonly chosen than single breasted.
