Poplin :
The most classic shirt fabric and the most popular. Shirts made from this material are easy to iron and don't wrinkle easily.
Weaves : Poplin fabrics are made by using coarse filling yarns in a plain weave.
Oxford :
This fabric has a very subtle basketweave look with a silk-like and lusterous finish. Royal Oxford is a similar fabric with a finer basketweave look.
Weaves : The warp (lengthwise yarns) is coloured and the weft (woven yarns) is white. Oxford and Royal Oxford can be used to make business shirts and casual shirts.
End on end :
This fabric is made by alternating two threads of two different colours. Using this technique yields a fabric that has colour that shows the weave.
Weaves : Usually the warp has the coloured threads and the weft thread is white.
Twill :
Fabric characterized by a diagonal structure which is more or less invisible.
Herringbone :
A fabric close in design to twill and which structure is in a sawtooth design.
