How do I activate/enable Java ?


Internet Explorer (4.x and later versions)

  1. Click on View or Tools in the menu bar then click on Internet options.
  2. Select the Advanced tab, then scroll down to Java (Sun) .
  3. Tick the box located next to the Java version....
  4. Then click on the Security tab and select the Custom level button .
  5. Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets.
  6. Make sure the Enable radio button is selected and click OK.

Netscape Navigator (4.x and 6.x)

  1. Select Edit in the menu bar and then click on Preferences.
  2. Select the Advanced category then select Certificates.
  3. Tick the boxes Enable Java and Enable Java Plugin then click OK.

Netscape Navigator (7.x)

  1. Select Edit in the menu bar and then click on Preferences.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. Tick the box Enable Java then click OK.

Mozilla Firefox (0.8 and up)

  1. Select Tools in the menu bar.
  2. Choose Options.
  3. Tick the box Enable Java and click OK;

Mozilla Firefox (1.5 et later versions)

  1. Select Tools in the menu bar then click on Options.
  2. Choose Content.
  3. Tick on the Enable Java box and then click OK

Opera 4.x (and later versions)

  1. Opera for Windows does not use Sun JRE, but an embedded version exists in the Opera Web browser.
  2. Opera for other platforms may support Java software through the use of the Sun JRE.
